SoliCall has released PBXMate, a software product claimed to work with all popular VoIP softphones such as Skype and to dramatically reduce background noise by ‘tuning in’ to the speaker’s voice and ‘tuning out’ extraneous sounds.
PBXMate runs on Windows and Linux and is claimed to “work with any VoIP Network that supports SIP.” According to SoliCall, [PBXMate] will help users to reduce all the background noises at once.
It can be downloaded and installed for (at not charge for personal use with Skype, Yahoo Messenger, GoogleTalk etc. SoliCall claims “We have configured [PBXMate] to work with all major softphones.”
Solicall’s director of marketing, Shlomi Simhi, said: “Our customers report on a dramatic improvement in voice quality and on a whole new conversation experience.”
PBXMate works by eliminating sounds thatdo not belong to the primary speaker. The default mode is ‘anybody’ which means that it will transmit all human voices but will still reduce other background noises. However if the user records a sample of their voice PBXMate is claimed to be able to learn and analyse the acoustic parameters of their voice and to minimise other noises, including other human voices, during the call.” Profiles can be added for multiple speakers.
